"Don't be afraid, just do it." That's the motto of Tom Naberink from the podcast series AI-tussenuurtje. Our colleague Sara (Italian) joined other teachers from the adult education centers of Katholiek Onderwijs Vlaanderen for an AI bootcamp in Nijmegen. The program included building GPTs in ChatGPT, developing educational apps in Claude, and exploring many other tools. Participants experienced firsthand the power, potential, and challenges of AI.

Colleague Pili (Spanish) travelled to Cyprus as part of an Erasmus+ mobility for a five-day course on social skills in education. The training brought together teachers from across Europe around one central theme: how can we prepare our learners for a changing world?

The course combined theory and practice, with a strong focus on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Blended learning, gamification and outdoor education were explored as innovative ways to foster creativity and flexibility – two key skills in a diverse and rapidly evolving learning environment.

Colleagues Elien and Willemijn (Dutch as a second language – NT2) went to Viljandi Täiskasvanute Gümnaasium in Estonia to work on "The well-being of students through Mindfulness." Together with teachers from Flanders, Norway and the Czech Republic, they participated in various classroom observations followed by intervention moments to explore how mindfulness can contribute, in an accessible and non-therapeutic way, to greater emotional self-regulation, reduced stress, improved focus in the present moment, less performance anxiety, and strengthened feelings of safety and connection.
