Erasmus+ in Eindhoven: Inspiration for Participatory Education and International Learning Experiences

International cooperation not only broadens our perspective on education, but also creates valuable opportunities to learn from one another. That is why, last week, both CLT staff members and learners travelled to Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Eindhoven as part of an Erasmus+ mobility project.

Learning from Good Practices

For our colleagues, the programme focused on job shadowing activities related to student participation, representation, and quality culture. Through meetings and discussions with Fontys staff and students, they gained valuable insights into how students are actively involved in policy-making and quality development processes.

Particularly inspiring was the Fontys Panel, which gives students a platform to share their views on a wide range of topics. Equally noteworthy was the way student participation is made visible and accessible across the campus, and how constructive dialogue forms the foundation of the institution’s participation structures.

These examples provide valuable inspiration for further strengthening learner involvement and engagement within CLT.

An International Experience for Learners

The Erasmus+ mobility also offered CLT learners the opportunity to take part in an international educational experience. For many participants, it was a unique chance to explore a different learning environment, exchange ideas, and gain new perspectives.

International mobility not only supports language learning but also helps participants develop intercultural competences, self-confidence, and a broader understanding of learning and collaboration in an international context.

Returning to Leuven with Fresh Ideas

The exchange with Fontys University of Applied Sciences resulted in valuable insights, inspiring conversations, and new connections. We returned to Leuven with fresh ideas, renewed inspiration, and plenty of energy to continue building participatory, high-quality, and future-oriented education.

We would like to sincerely thank Fontys University of Applied Sciences for their warm welcome, openness, and willingness to share their expertise and experiences.
